Sometimes there are moments in the day when we need circuit-breakers to stop those cycles of anxious or unproductive thinking.
These have helped me.
1. Close your eyes. Take five deep breaths.
Five seconds inhale, five seconds exhale. Trust me.
2. Tell somebody you love that you love them.
3. Write down one thing you’re grateful for and how it’s made your life better.
4. Thank someone now for something they’ve done for you recently.
5. Smile for 10 seconds. If you can see a mirror, smile at yourself.
6. Stand up. Stretch.
7. Look away from the screen and out the window. If you can easily, walk outside for a minute.
8. Write down the most important thing you want to achieve today. Start doing it.
